Loving It!

My friend lent me her long sweater a couple of weeks ago when I was over at her house.  She told me to keep it for a while and wear it because wearing something different, even if it’s not yours, gives you a lift and you can satisfy your craving for something new without spending any money.  I tried it and it’s sort of true, unless your friend is 6′ tall and willowy and you’re 5′ 2 1/4″ and definitely not willowy.  I loved her sweater but didn’t exactly love the way I looked in it.  However, after that, I really wanted a long sweater of my own that didn’t emphasize my assets quite so much.  Ahem.

I had a $25 Macy’s gift card, so I dropped in there the other day while I took my daughter to the mall.  She had a gift card of her own just burning a hole in her pocket, so I took advantage of the time to see what Macy’s had to offer.  I found this sweater and I LOVE it.  I’m on day two of wearing it.  I love how it’s long and flared, which is a definite plus.  I also love how it feels like I’m wearing a robe, but it’s a sweater, so it’s okay to wear all day, or even all day in public.  Yay!

I ended up paying $23.53 for it, after all the reductions/discounts off the original $69.00 price.  My gift card covered it and I even have a little left over for another fun thing.

  1. I can’t get over that you put in the 1/4 of an inch when you say how tall you are. Now you made MY morning! 🙂

    • Well, I used to be 5’3″ and the last time I went to the doctor, I’d shrunk 3/4″. I figure I can’t afford to lose any more, especially since my 13 year-old daughter now towers over me and has to stoop to hug me. So I guess I cling to my 1/4″! 😉
